CLEO ROCOS HOLLYWOOD PORTRAIT BY DARREN CHESHIRE

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the SUPER glam Cleo Rocos. It was so obvious to me how I wanted portray this beautiful lady. We both have a love for Old Hollywood. Cleo embodies the image on a daily basis and I love to capture that look in my work, so I decided to use the Old Hollywood lighting, which is a personal favourite. It’s dramatic and beautiful, casting deep dark shadows. Shot inside Kit and Kaboodle, Liverpool, England. 1st December, 2012.

COLOURFUL PEOPLE BOOK - BY DARREN CHESHIRE

Colourful, fun, bizarre, imaginative, unworldly and intriguing. Just a few words that best describe this photo book. A total escapism from reality. Lots of artistic nudes, from the pale blue twins swinging from a tree branch to a pink haired girl sprawled out in her human sized nest, protecting her pastel pink eggs. A visual feast if ever you've seen one? There's plenty more! A yellow girl melting into the ground, holding on to a red post box. What is she doing? And why is she melting? Who knows? Who cares? Nothing needs to make sense, in this fabricated land of the peculiar. You can expect anything. But for sure, this book has a playful, witty vibe to it. All seriousness has well and truly gone out the window. This book also celebrates every bodily shape you could imagine. From the thin, average to the large. A firm favourite will be the Ice Cream Lady. That devastating look on her face! You'll just have to buy the book to find out why she's SO traumatised, and to discover lots more wacky imagery.
